This program
is a substance abuse program for truck drivers. It is aimed at preventing
accidents and reducing the risk of a crash by addressing the root causes of
substance abuse.
The program
has been designed to be interactive, engaging, and targeted to specific needs
of truck drivers. It is divided into three phases:

Initial Screening;
Phase 2:
Intervention;
Phase 3:
Treatment and Follow-up.
Alcoholics
Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous are only two of the many substance
misuse programmes available to truck drivers (NA). But this SAP Program for Truck Drivers
has been designed to address the root causes of substance abuse in a way that
no other program has done before by involving all stakeholders in the supply
chain from driver to dispatcher to shipper as well as educating them on how
they can help prevent crashes.
